Soap nuts - description
Soap nuts are an all-natural, hypoallergenic and sustainable cleaning product. The shells contain saponin, a natural surfactant. Soap nuts are gentle on both clothes and skin, recommended especially for those with sensitive skin, allergies and they are ideal for baby clothes.

Applications, usage

Place 6-7 nuts (or equivalent half shells) in the reusable wash bag provided and tie it closed. Put it in with your laundry and wash as normal. After washing, remove bag and let dry or do another load. May be reused several times until the shells become greyish and soft.

No conventional fabric conditioner is needed. You may add a few drops of essential oil like lavender, lemongrass, may-chang, lemon eucalyptus on the nuts before to place in the washing machine.
For white clothes you can use 2 Tbs. of percarbonate or sodium bicarbonate.
